Cadmium stannate (Cd2SnO4) thin films were\udprepared by the RF magnetron sputtering technique on glass\udsubstrates with substrate temperatures of room temperature\ud(RT), 100°C, 200°C and 300°C. Photoacoustic analyses\udwere made to obtain the thermal diffusivity and the\udoptical bandgap values of the Cd2SnO4 thin films. The\udchange in thermal diffusivity of the films with the substrate\udtemperature was analyzed. The optical bandgap values\udobtained from the photoacoustic spectroscopy were\udcompared with the values obtained from the optical transmittance\udspectra. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic (XPS)\udstudies confirm the formation of stoichiometric films. Surface\udmorphological studies by atomic force microscopy\ud(AFM) revealed the crystalline nature of the films deposited\udat 100°C.
